If not done with skill, you can damage the drywall on your ceiling creating holes or gouges. We suggest that you don't attempt this yourself. You may end up regretting it if doing-it-yourself results in costly drywall replacement because the seams or surface was too damaged during the stripping process. Also, if your ceiling is from 1979 or older, it should be tested for asbestos.
Once it is stripped, we can add newly updated texture. This indeed requires the skill of a professional. We have this whole process down to a science and would gladly handle this for you.
